Tiny House

Sometimes, I miss the minimalist living of the college dormitory. This guy creates tiny houses that make me a little nostalgic to look at. The house in the video (that he actually lives in) is on a trailer bed and can be pulled behind his car. That's crazy.

I might not mind having one of these out in the back yard, to live in when I just need a few days of "me time." The one down side: no room for board games. Especially farming games.

While Brushing My Teeth...

While I was brushing my teeth this morning, I had this thought:
Is it coincidence that the 12th Fibonacci number is 144, the square of 12?

You can consider that to be a hypothetical question. I don't really want to know. But I thought you should know that that's what I was thinking about while I was brushing my teeth.

Randall Goodgame

Andrew Peterson has said in concert several times that his favorite musician is Randall Goodgame. I haven't yet been enticed enough by Randall's music to purchase any, but the title track from his latest EP "Bluebird" is shared on the Rabbit Room website and I really like it. Check it out.

Negative Temperature

The one good thing about below zero temperatures is that warmth starts sounding like the underdog. Like, just getting above zero is a noble and virtuous quest.

High of zero? I like those odds.

Merry Christmas! (PLUS a money saving tip)

Hey everybody,

I hope you're already enjoying your holiday season. I'm about to head home to grab my kids up in my arms after 3 days of being too sick to get off the couch. It will be nice.

I've got some really good things to share from the month of December, but I want to get them nice and shiny first, so it'll be a few more days. In the meantime, here's a little throwback to my procool days of inane humor.

This was a sponsored link in my gmail this afternoon. Good advice for dental students, sure... but isn't it also practical for anybody who wants to save on hospital bills? Use that money to pay down school debt, a mortgage, or just have a little fun money!

Ho ho ho,
Matt

Have You Heard?

No, I'm not talking about Obama. This is even more exciting.

I had to watch it three times to process the whole thing.
